Thermistors and thermostats


Thermostats

Our bimetal thermostats are used as temperature control devices. A bimetal plate is used as temperature sensor that is positioned directly on the base plate of the controller and reacts fast and sensitive to temperature changes. As soon as the switch-off temperature is reached the bimetal plate opens the electric circuit. After cooling down the plate switches back into its normal position and closes the electric circuit again. Typical applications are home appliances, electrical heating systems, steam generators in climate control systems or compressors.


Thermistors

NTC (PTC) Thermistors are temperature sensitive semiconductor-resistors, which decrease (increase) their resistance at rising temperatures. The resistance can be changed through changing outside temperature or through changing temperature caused by electrical heating. The high temperature sensitivity is used in various applications ranging from home appliances to climate control and automotive systems.
